You can take a slow and leisurely ride across to Granite Island in the tram pulled along by a gentle Clydesdale or you can walk across. The Island is famous for its colony of Little Penguins and there are guided tours one hour before dark. A walk around the island is approximately 3 kilometres and will take about 40 minutes.
