Longyearbyen, Norway


Mountains devoid of snow during a heatwave on Svalbard archipelago. The archipelago, which lies about 1,200km north of the Arctic Circle, is experiencing a summer heatwave that set a new record in Longyearbyen on 25 July, with a high of 21.7C.
