Thirty million Americans cut from $600 per week unemployment benefit

Sky News US political commentator Joe Hockey warns the US is at a major tipping point as 30 million people are cut off from coronavirus relief payments. The emergency package - which expired last week - offered a $600 per week unemployment benefit to those affected by the pandemic. "There are tens of millions of Americans that will probably be evicted from their homes over the next few weeks," Mr Hockey said. "Estimates are up to one-third of renters are going to be evicted because the economy is just not coming back. "It's fundamental to the world the US sort its problems out."
