Diana Wolfe feared her resident brush-tailed possum 'Russell' had died during summer's bushfires. It returned safe and well to its Mallacoota home about three weeks after the fire went through, and last month had a son. Brush-tailed possums are territorial, and stay in the same small area their whole lives
