Jake Angeli inside the Senate Chamber

The most striking figure in the siege of the US Capitol Building has been identified as Jake Angeli, a 32 year old sometime actor and voiceover artist who refers to himself as the “QAnon Shaman”. Bare-chested and heavily tattooed, Angeli has been spotted at numerous rallies in support of Donald Trump over the past year, and has emerged as one of the most identifiable figures in QAnon, the conspiracy movement which claims secret Satan-worshipping paedophiles are embedded in government, the media and Hollywood.
