Christian pilgrims carrying crosses walk through Jerusalem's Old City on their way to the Holy Sepulcher church during the Orthodox Good Friday procession.
Thousands of Christian pilgrims take part in
processions along the route where, according to tradition, Jesus Christ carried
the cross during his last days, as Orthodox Christians around the world mark
the Holy Week commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus Christ leading up to his
resurrection on Easter.
