Treasurer Jim Chalmers conceded he asked his department to
model the impact of changes to negative gearing and capital gains tax
concessions.
About 1.1 million Australians had a negatively geared
property in 2020-21, according to Australian Taxation Office data.
The government has again left the door open to revisiting
the reforms ahead of the next election.
