Tasmanian Supreme Court judge Gregory Geason resigns after
he is found guilty of emotional and physical abuse against his then-partner in
2023.
Geason, who pleaded not guilty, grabbed, shook, punched and
pushed the woman at a private residents in Hobart. She fell backwards and hit her head on a
mantelpiece, suffering concussion and bruising.
The sentencing judge said his version of events - that the
woman tripped – were ‘implausible’.
