Sergei Skripal and daughter murdered with nerve gas

Boris Johnson

Double agent Sergei Skripal was convicted in Russia in 2006 for spying for Britain.
He and his 33 year old daughter Yukia were found slumped unconscious on a bench outside a shopping centre in Salisbury on Sunday afternoon and both are still in a critical condition.
Police are treating the incident as attempted murder but as yet they don't know how they were contaminated.
Skripal and his daughter dined at the Zizzi pizza restaurant and had a drink at the Bishop's Mill pub in Salisbury.
Skripal helped British intelligence identify dozens of Russian agents in Britain before his arrest in 2004.
He was sentenced to 13 years in 2006 after a secret trial and was swapped for Russian spies caught in the west and given refuge in Britain in 2010
This week British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson threatened Moscow with sanctions and described Russia as a "Malign and disruptive" state.
Russia denied any involvement and condemned Johnson for "wild" comments and said anti-Russian hysteria was being whipped up intentionally to damage relations with London.
"Londongrad" is the name given to London because of the vast amounts of Russian money which poured into the city since the fall of the Soviet Union.
We all remember what happened to ex KGB Alexander Kitvinenko, murdered with radioactive polonium-210 in London and the British inquiry that found Mr Putin was probably responsible.

A second eyewitness at the scene said the woman was frothing at the mouth and the man's arms stopped moving when he began to throw up.

Married at first sight

Socalled experts: John Aiken, Mel Schilling and Dr Trisha Stratford.
Married at first sight is a cruel scam that is working very well. Channel 9 must be celebrating as this reality show rates its head off.  But the naive public believe it's all true and don't realize that every scene is contrived.

The producers have said "This ground-breaking social experiment is returning and will continue to help Australian singles find their potential lifelong partner using the science of matchmaking."

And that's a lie right there.  It's not a social experiment at all but a sham.  The producers know the young men they choose have no intention of looking for a life partner, blind Freddie can see they only want publicity for themselves while the women are disrespected and left embarrassed for crying on film, which they know only makes it more interesting.

And the three so-called experts with their cringeworthy advice, it's hard to believe they expect viewers to take them seriously.

Described as "not a competition" with no cash prizes, contestants are promised only the opportunity to find love, so there is no reward for the couples taking part, meanwhile Channel 9 produces a high rating reality show that costs them nothing.

Shame on you Channel 9.

Bill and his dogs
By Jodie Nash ·  · From Pic of the Week
I'd been in Grafton for the weekend for a photography convention so of course I was going to try take as many photos as I could. This morning it was misty again so I went out seeing cows, goats, birds and even got to ride the ferry.  On my back way to Grafton I went down a dirt road and that's when I met Bill. He came along with his three dogs (the one hiding at the back is retired). We had a good yarn and I asked if I could take his photo. I'm sure this wasn't what he'd planned for his morning but he happily obliged.         Published 22 May 2017. Grafton NSW 2460
