Father near death reaches out to his son

Backstory My Dad has had his issues with drinking and just life...found out a lot about him over the last couple days. He had cancer around his eye and he got that removed.. A check up was done and they found that cancer has spread to his brain and throat. He asked a family member to have me reach out so i called and he sounded like a man on his deathbed. He made some comments about not wanting to pass alone and about not being there as a Dad and he knows he doesn’t deserve it but he wished he could see me one last time before he goes. I wanted to let him know I love him and didnt know how much time he has so drove to see him. He's had a hard life and just wanted him to know we are good and I love him. Source: u/Heyitsmee1 Reddit
