Wyoming buffalo

Wyoming, US: A herd of buffalo grazes near the town of Wright. In the UK, wild European bison are due to return for the first time in 6,000 years, with the release of a small herd in Kent next year Photograph: Tannen Maury/EPA. Generally, the buffalo has a larger body than the bison. The buffalo also has a bigger horn and a much bigger head than the American bison. The buffalo also has a smooth coat while the bison has shaggy winter coat. Yellowstone National Park preserves the most important bison herd in the United States.
