The Philadelphia Axis, also known as the Salah al-Din Axis, within the territory of the Gaza Strip, extends 14 km along the border between the enclave and Egypt.
Last
month, Egypt rejected the deployment of joint forces with Israel on the Gaza
border, denying any tunnels existed in the area.
