The wife of Alexei Navalny, the Kremlin critic being treated in Berlin after he was poisoned with novichok, has lashed out a Russian proposal to send doctors to Germany to assess his health. The idea was floated by Leonid Roshal, the head of Russia’s national medical chamber, who said that it was “still not clear” what caused Mr Navalny, 44, to collapse on a flight from Siberia to Moscow on August 20. Mr Roshal, 87, said Russian and German doctors should work together because Mr Navalny’s condition “is of concern” to many people.
