POWER, PRAYER, PILGRIMAGE: Matthew Seaver, assistant keeper at the National Museum of Ireland - Archaeology, with conservator Carol Smith, make adjustments to a bronze-coated iron hand-bell, dated to the 8th/9th century AD and found at a site near Glendalough, as they prepare for the opening of a new exhibition, Glendalough: Power, Prayer and Pilgrimage, which runs from September 17th at the museum, with free admission.
