Zhang Zhan is being force-fed in detention

Zhang Zhan disappeared from Wuhan and is now in detention in Shanghai A Chinese citizen journalist who was detained for her reports from Wuhan about the coronavirus is being force-fed and kept in restraints, her lawyer has said. Zhang Zhan travelled to the centre of the coronavirus outbreak in February to see at first hand what was happening amid suspicions that the authorities were covering up the severity of the outbreak. She livestreamed and posted reports on social media about the authorities harassing victims’ families and visited sensitive sites including hospitals and crematoriums. Source: The Times
