Lakemba mosque in Sydney requested permission to broadcast a call to prayer once a week on Fridays for 15 minutes using 4 loudspeakers.
Independent Cr Saud Abu-Samen said concerned residents who live near Sydney's largest mosque to 'close their windows' if approved.
