Farmers unhappy about wind farms on their land

Nationals MP Llew O’Brien called Twiggy Forrest a “****ing charlatan” and a "****ing snake oil salesman” after the two got into a heated row over the impact of transmission lines on farms.

When Mr Forrest made comments about how farmers affected could be compensated and find other places to farm, Mr O’Brien blew up.

So what is the plan if thousands of Aussie farmers in the path of green energy transmission lines or other infrastructure projects simply refuse to move?.....

Lets talk about nuclear power

Dutton wants a ‘mature debate’ about nuclear power.  By the time we’ve had one, new plants will be too late to replace coal.  The Conversation

If you believe Newspoll and the Australian Financial Review, Australia wants to go nuclear – as long it’s small.

The hope (and it’s still only a hope) is “modular” design will permit reactors to be built in factories in large numbers (and therefore at low cost), then shipped to the sites where they are installed.....
