Well, in Mount Field there's so mushroom that the fungi don't leave but
stay partying on to make these fine displays of colour in the forest... And

Intersection
in the middle of nowhere!

Intersection in the middle of nowhere! We stopped here for a roadside
picnic on our way to Tibooburra. Temp was 44 degrees when we stepped out of our
air conditioned car! Although we thought no one was around for miles we had a
visit from a NP Ranger living at the end of this "no through road".
Thinking we may have car trouble he drove all the way up to make sure we were
ok. And just out of view of this shot there was a sealed section of road that
was long and straight and doubles as a runway/landing strip for the Flying
Doctor Service. I imagine this little piece of nowhere sees a bit of action
