The inquest into the murder of nurse Gayle Woodford has opened in
Adelaide with the court hearing her killer had “slipped through the cracks” and
should have been on the sex offenders register.
In November 2017, Dudley Davey lost his bid to
have his jail sentence reduced. Davey was sentenced to life imprisonment
with a non-parole period of 32 years for murdering and raping Ms Woodford and
stealing her ambulance in South Australia's APY Lands in March 2016.
