Home Kits For Covid-19 Antibody Testing Become Available
BERLIN, GERMANY - APRIL 17: A home-testing kit, purchased at a local pharmacy, for checking a person's blood for the presence of Covid-19 infection antibodies stands on a table on April 17, 2020 in Berlin, Germany. The kit is marketed by a German company called Canea and its contents are made in China. According to the president of the Paul Ehrlich Institute, such kits are not yet regulated in Germany according to any nationwide standard. The antibodies are produced by the human body as a reaction by the immune system to fight off Covid-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, and are an indication of past Covid-19 infection.
