The landmark re-discovered
Rembrandt portraits of Jan Willemsz van der Pluym and Jaapgen Carels, are both
rare and intimate portrayals of relatives of the artist and the last known pair
of portraits by Rembrandt to remain in private hands seen at Christies auction
house in London. Both portraits are at
auction on 6 July, 200 years after last seen with an estimate of $6,300,000 to
$10,000,000.
