Princess Charlene of Monaco has undergone fresh surgery in South Africa for a health complication that has kept her away from home for most of the year. The former Olympian needed a general anaesthetic for “her final procedure”, her spokeswoman said, as she recovers from a severe ear, nose and throat infection she contracted in May. A further delay to her return to Monaco is likely to add weight to speculation about her marriage to Prince Albert.
