Bear attacks in Japan

 



There have been a record 193 bear attacks in Japan this year, six of them fatal. It's the highest number since counting began in 2006.

That is, in part, because it's been a lean year for bears. In the forests, a dry summer left fewer acorns and beech nuts — their main food — so hunger has made them bold.

Someone allegedly posted multiple videos online of Bruce Lehrmann’s defamation trial on YouTube.  The live stream of the federal court proceedings was being unlawfully rebroadcast on an anonymous YouTube account, named Feminism Debunked.  

A man called Glen Logan has been ordered to face court in person to explain why.

Little support for Hamas

 



Lebanese terror group Hezbollah and other Iran’s proxies around the Middle East, have offered only middling support for Hamas as it faces off against Israel, along with alleged evidence of souring ties between Hamas’s Gaza leadership and the group’s Qatar-based politburo.

Politburo is the supreme policy-making body of a communist government.

Cher files for conservatorship

 



Cher has filed for a conservatorship to control access to son Elijah Blue Allman’s finances.  She is concerned any funds distributed to her 47-year-old son from a trust set up by his late father, Greg Allman, will be immediately spent on drugs, leaving Elijah with no assets to provide for himself and putting his life at risk.”

Tesla robot attacks engineer

 



A Tesla engineer was allegedly attacked by a robot at a factory near Austin.  The 2021 injury report claims the robot, which was designed to move aluminum car parts, dug its metal claws into the engineer’s back and arm, leaving a “trail of blood.”  

The engineer was attacked while making a software update on 2 other robots. The other robot was still turned on when it attacked.

After years of being 'banned' from attending royal events, Sarah Ferguson made a surprise return to the family's Christmas celebration.

Joining her ex-husband Prince Andrew and the rest of the family, Fergie undertook the royals' annual walk on the Sandringham estate to St Mary Magdalene's church on Monday.

The Eiffel Tower was closed to visitors yesterday because of a strike over contract negotiations timed to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the death of its creator, Gustave Eiffel.

An IDF spokesman said “Those civilians were condemned the moment that Hamas built those tunnels underneath them”.

Sydney mosque praises terrorists as "Martyrs"

 





Police are monitoring a Sydney Mosque - the Al Rahman in Kingsgrove  - who are hosting a commemorative service for Lebanese terrorist, Hussein Ibrahim Salameh, killed in fighting with Israel. 

The mosque’s Imam, Sheikh Youssef Nabha told the “packed” crowd the men were “martyrs”, and he would not be deterred by media criticism to continue to commemorate the terrorist fighters.


Another Australian builder goes broke

 



A 48 year old woman tried hard to plead for early access to her super but was refused after she was left financially ruined by building defects in her apartment block.

And the reason?  Surprise, surprise, yet another builder has gone broke -  Shangri-La Construction went into liquidation early this year.

Bill Granger dies aged 54

 



Restaurateur and TV chef Bill Granger has died in a London hospital, aged 54 following a battle with cancer. The Melbourne-born food identity died on Christmas Day.

 

He wrote 14 cookbooks, made 5 television series and was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia last January.
