Schapelle Corby Guilty says Eamonn Duff

The same people who thought Lindy Chamberlain killed her baby also believe that Schapelle Corby is guilty of trying to smuggle 4.1kg of marijuana into Bali. They have the same mind set – “Oh yeah, the dingo did it, ha ha” and “Everyone knows that Corby’s guilty”. They have no sympathy for this young woman who has always maintained her innocence and spent seven long years in Kerobokan prison.

Now a Fairfax journalist Eamonn Duff has written a book that suggests it was Corby’s own father who put the cannabis in her boogie board bag. Duff hopes to cash in on the back of Corby’s plight knowing full very well that it will damage her hope of leniency from the Indonesian authorities and her dreams of ever coming home.

Duff tries to justify his case that her father was the villain who used his daughter to move the drugs but in reality, he doesn't know if she’s innocent or not because he actually says so. He wrote “Whether Schapelle Corby knew she was carrying the drugs is not clear”. But that didn’t stop him from writing a book full of his personal speculations not grounded in facts. He says he has not been able to put his claims directly to Corby.

I’ve read Corby’s book and believe she’s innocent and hope that people will see this journalist for what he really is - an unprincipled opportunist trying to make a buck out of a very sad situation.

  2. This is no doubt in response, to the damming evidence against the Australian government, exposed by The Expendable Project...

There so worried about it, they've been trying to hack the Expendable website...
But like everything else, they have failed at that too, so this book is their lame comeback...

  4. To say that Duff doesn't know the absolute truth is completely correct. He bases his guilty claims on hearsay. Unfortunately, that's the exact same conditions in which the Corby supporters base their innocent claims on. Neither side can claim the credibility moral high ground. The only person who can say that she didn't knowingly try to import illegal drugs is Corby herself. And we have only her word for that.

  5. Don't know if this comment will go thru' as it's very late but here's my two bobs worth. I've just finished reading the Duff book and the whole thing pivots on the testimony of Malcolm McCauley. Duff goes to some trouble to explain that McCauley received no payment for any of his interviews for newspaper stories or the book. If this is true then what McCauley says must be treated with some credibility even if he is a convicted dope dealer.

  6. It's all lies, listen to David McHugh, who is also mentioned in the book, talk about Malcom McCauley and Eammon Duff. Eammon is just another vulture making money off Schapelle and her family.

Just remember, it's in the media interest to keep Schapelle in jail, because they helped to put her there in the first place.
