Glowing sky
After a night of not much sleep due to some pretty crazy storms that
started around 10pm and continued through the night, I headed down to the beach
with my dogs around 6am when there was a break in the weather. I didn’t even take my camera down, as I really thought there was
absolutely no chance of a sunrise!
Well, I didn’t see the sun, but it was still pretty awesome. Luckily, I
had my phone on me, and I remembered that through the Lightroom app, I can
shoot RAW images, so I did! Published 23 Mar

Exploring at
West Head
We've been sick of this rainy weather keeping us inside so last weekend
we went exploring at West Head which is part of Kuringai Chase NP. The tracks
were a bit soggy and many puddles too! But the scenery was just lovely. It was
so nice to get back to nature. Published 24 Mar

Autumn in Mt
Macedon
The first sign of autumn colour has appeared. Flashes of gold (the
season’s first offering) pepper stands of Silver Birch and shimmering rows of
Poplars. A glimpse of what’s to come.
By mid-April, the Macedon Ranges will be a festival of leaves ablaze
with autumn hues. The Oak lined Honour Avenue, Macedon, and the stately homes
and gardens of Mt Macedon (many open to the public), will become a Mecca for
nature loving tourists as it has been for over a 100 years.
Social media sites and Asian tourist’s fascination with the colour red
(the colour of happiness, joy, good luck, and prosperity) have seen visitors’
numbers increase dramatically over recent years. Due to the increased traffic,
signage will be upgraded indicating public parking areas and amenities.
Throughout the month of April, don’t be surprised by the unexpected,
roadside weddings or tourists lying on their backs in the centre of the road,
oblivious to oncoming traffic, taking upshot pictures of falling leaves.
There’s much to love about The Macedon Ranges this time of the year,
with many fine wineries, cafes, tea-rooms and restaurants offering the best of
local produce. Only a 50-minute drive from Melbourne or Bendigo, the best time
to capture this stunningly beautiful part of Victoria is from the first week
through to the end of April.
Don’t forget your camera.
