Julian Assange may not be sent to US afterall

In less than a week's time, Julian Assange will face the legal might of the United States Government, who will argue for his extradition.
However, the new British government’s views on his extradition to America seem to have shifted and it could be because the US rejected a request for the extradition of an American citizen who left the UK after allegedly causing the death of a teenager.

UK teenager Harry Dunn was killed when his motorbike was hit by a car driven by US diplomat’s wife Anne Sacoolas who was charged.  She then left the country.
However, the US State Department has defended her right to diplomatic immunity and denied the request.

Harry Dunn’s family have implored Anne Sacoolas to come back to face trial.  She is accused of driving on the wrong side of the road at the time of the crash near RAF Croughton, an Air Force base in Northamptonshire in central England which is used by the US military.

However, all requests have been denied.
