Leke is a former street child who had recently been rescued,’ says Guardian photographer David Levene. ‘The Forum on Sustainable Child Empowerment helped Leke find a safe place to live and a job in the local pasta factory. Now 17, she provides inspiration to younger girls being cared for by the FSCE who hope to live and work in a safe environment.’
