BBC Murdoch documentary not wanted in Australia

Happy days: Lachlan and Sarah Murdoch with Rupert Murdoch and Jerry Hall at Murdoch's Moraga Bel Air winery in California last year.CREDIT:FRANK MICELOTTA/MORAGA BEL AIR The Rise of the Murdoch Dynasty is a three-part series that debuted on the BBC and explores how Rupert Murdoch, now 89, became one of the world's most powerful figures. However, PS was told BBC's Australian channels, which are broadcast on the Murdoch-owned Foxtel network, had no plans to air the show here. The other likely home for the show in Australia would be the ABC, which has been under constant attack from much of the Murdoch empire in recent times. However, when PS checked, the national broadcaster had no plans to buy it, nor did SBS, Nine, Seven or Ten.
