Malaysia’s former prime minister, Najib Razak, faces decades in prison after being convicted of multimillion dollar corruption. Mr Najib, 67, was convicted on seven charges of abuse of power, criminal breach of trust and money laundering connected to the plundering of $10 million from the Malaysian state investment firm, 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB), of which he was founder and chairman.
