One of Queensland’s top cops has quit after an inquiry heard he used the phrase 'vagina whisperer' in a speech to 100 colleagues.

 

Deputy commissioner Paul Taylor resigned yesterday after the Commission of Inquiry into QPS Responses to Domestic and Family Violence found he and Chief Superintendent Ray Rohweder made lewd comments at police leadership conference.

The inquiry earlier heard that a Queensland police officer with 20 years experience wrote a submission claiming that '90 per cent' of rape and sexual assault claims were either made up or the women didn't understand rape and sexual assault.

Chief Supt Ray Rohweder yelled an inappropriate comment at a Master of Ceremonies who had a cut on his face asking 'did she shut her legs on you?'.   Some members of the audience walked out
