Aboriginal leaders have erupted with fury after a
little-known elder speaking on behalf of the spirits of her “ancestors” helped
block a $1 billion gold mine from going ahead in regional NSW.
Roy Ah-See, former chair of the NSW Aboriginal Land Council,
said the decision made a “mockery of our people’s culture”.
“We’ve never heard of this lady,” he said............
