This is a favourite area of mine when it's full of water. I have been here many times and have also won several awards for my photographic work down here.
At the moment all the lakes are full and there is some great swimming, kayaking, fishing and boating to be had. If you are a bird lover there are many different species to be seen and plenty of lizards wondering around looking for food on the banks.
For me personally it's all about the photography and doing things a little bit differently. There is plenty of bush camping all around the area as well. Do yourself a favour and spend a few days exploring this region. It's just beautiful.
