Australian winemakers worried


China is the largest overseas market for Australian wine DAVID GRAY/REUTERS. Australia’s winemakers fear a rapid decline in exports after China announced a trade inquiry as part of an escalation of friction between the two countries. Beijing is already limiting the country’s beef exports and has all but stopped importing barley, moves viewed in Canberra as attempts to damage its economy. Chinese have also been warned against visiting Australia.
