One of Britain’s most prolific paedophiles, David Wilson, who contacted more than 5,000 children online, would not have been brought to justice under Facebook’s plans to encrypt its messages. According to the National Crime Agency (NCA), Facebook’s plans to install end-to-end encryption, increasing privacy, would mean such offenders would go undetected.
