Tourism executives are hoping that the new series of The Crown will bring fans of the hit Netflix show to Scotland once restrictions are lifted. The far northeast doubled for the Falkland Islands in the fourth instalment of the royal drama, which has a global audience of more than 70 million. The tiny fishing village of Lybster near Wick, Caithness, hosted a simulated Argentine incursion to portray the build-up to the 1982 conflict. The latest series, starring Olivia Colman as the Queen, depicts the rise of Margaret Thatcher, played by Gillian Anderson, and the wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer.
