The World Health Organisation has issued a rare rebuke of China after members of an international expert team were refused access to Wuhan to investigate the origins of the coronavirus pandemic. The team of 10 renowned international scientists were scheduled to check into Chinese hotel rooms for two weeks of quarantine this week before they began a mission to investigate the coronavirus, a year after the first reports emerged of a mystery disease sweeping the central city of Wuhan. Beijing has delayed the arrival of the team for months with a barrage of logistical demands and rules.
