Sam Bankman-Fried has been sentenced to 25
years for orchestrating the multibillion-dollar fraud that prompted the
collapse of the FTX cryptocurrency exchange.
During the sentencing, the judge described Bankman-Fried as a calculating math genius who sought power and influence while knowingly committing wrongdoing.
