Better in pots
By kathysharvest ·  · From Pic of the Week

I have decided that my large strawberries do much better in pots and hanging baskets as have had no dramas with critters eating them so will continue to grow them this way. The alpine strawberries do much better in a garden bed. I love that each day another delicious strawberry is ready to pick.                                Published 21 Dec 2016.  Melbourne VIC 3004

Rebecca's Camera Club
By nelliecat ·  · From Portraits: In the Club

Bec made a decision to try and start up a Camera Club in her home town, Port Hedland, WA. She started a Facebook page to gather interest. Then pitching the club to a great turnout of potential members, it took off.
Bec unfortunately lost her mum between the pitch and the first exhibition of the club. But before she passed away, Bec's mum was so very supportive of her dream to start the club.
"This was my fuel to power on and keep going with the club. It kept me going - act, belong, commit.
It gave me focus and enjoyment at a time in my life when I felt lost."
Bec loves photography and is passionate about the 'like minded people' in the Hedland Camera Club. They come together in our small community, sharing their skills and knowledge in such a beautiful, unseen part of the world. She thinks it's amazing that the club recently signed up their 101st member.
"I get to spend time with other people that enjoy similar things to me."
Thank you Bec for starting this fantastic club so we can all learn and have great fun. I am hooked.    Published 21 Sep 2015.  Port Hedland WA 6721
