China has lifted suspensions from Australian beef exporters,
removing almost all of the $20 billion worth of trade sanctions it imposed. The
bans were lifted on Wednesday night, with immediate effect, for five different
abattoirs.
Sanctions remain on two abattoirs and rock lobster.
Beijing slapped sanctions on Australia in 2020 after Scott Morrison called for an independent inquiry into the origin of Covid-19.
