Sunak calls election date

 

Britain's Prime Minister Rishi Sunak delivers a speech to announce the date of the UK's next general election, at 10 Downing Street in central London, on May 22, 2024.

The general election will be held on 4 July - the third since the Brexit referendum in 2016 and the first in July since 1945.
