The Senate has condemned a pro-Palestinian chant “from the river to the sea” that Labor senator Fatima Payman repeated to accuse Israel of genocide. The vote was 56 votes in favour and 12 against.
Those voting against the motion including Greens senators and independent senator Lidia Thorpe.
Payman was not in the
chamber.
