Former Liberal staffer Bruce Lehrmann's lawyers have filed
an updated appeal in the Federal Court, challenging the entire judgment which
found on the balance of probabilities Mr Lehrmann had raped Brittany Higgins.
The court concluded the most likely version of events was
that Ms Higgins was too drunk to consent to sex with Mr Lehrmann, and that he
was reckless.
His appeal will return to the Federal Court in October....................
