New Zealand Parliament was suspended today after a group of Māori MPs began a haka in protest over a contentious bill. Hana-Rawhiti Maipi-Clarke, the MP for Hauraki Waikato, began the haka after physically tearing up the bill in parliament.
The bill to reinterpret a 184-year-old treaty between the
British and Indigenous Māori has caused protests all across New Zealand....................
