Australia joins global vaccine pool backed by the WHO

Australia is now eligible to buy COVID-19 vaccine doses, when they become available, through the global COVAX facility. Australia is now at the front of the queue to access coronavirus vaccines, when they become available, after joining a global pool backed by the World Health Organisation.
The COVID-19 facility known as COVAX gives Australia access to a large portfolio of vaccine candidates and manufacturers across the world.
