The chairman of the FCA said that half of the first page of results generated by a simple Google search for high return investments “are quite clearly scams”.

Today Charles Randell, chairman of the Financial Conduct Authority, urged the American search engine to do more to tackle the ads, which are rife online. “Whatever Google are doing, so far it’s not working” he said.
