Donald Trump has denied a report from The New York Times, which claims he paid just $US750 in income tax the year he was elected President. In an investigation published today, the newspaper reported that Mr Trump had also paid just $750 the following year, in 2017 - and “no income taxes at all” in 10 of the previous 15 years. Why? Because in those years, the businessman and reality TV host “reported losing much more money than he made”.
