In March 2021, then Defence Minister,
Linda Reynolds, apologised for calling Brittany Higgins ‘a lying cow’.
The Liberal senator says she
‘did not mean it in the sense it may have been understood’.
This statement makes it crystal
clear that Reynolds did not believe Higgins was raped.
Reynolds said today that she will continue with her own defamation
proceedings against Brittany Higgins and her fiancé David Sharaz. She is suing both separately in WA Federal
Court over posts on social media, claiming they damaged her reputation.
