Violent incidents took place between Israel's Maccabi fans
and Palestinian supporters at a football match in Amsterdam over the weekend.
France will deploy over 4,000 gendarmes (paramilitary police
officers) for the France versus Israel football match at the Stade de France in
Paris on Friday.
