Melbourne marches for Jill Meagher

It's ironic how we protect those who least deserve it.  Gym junkie and accused murderer Adrian Bayley is receiving Victoria's highest level of protection in jail because authorities fear he will be attacked by other inmates.  "The crooks want to kill him because she was an innocent" a prison source said.  He's in the major offender's unit which handles high-profile and gangland inmates.

Never in living memory has one crime affected so many.  An estimated 30000 people came together at the weekend to pay their respects and march to the memory of Jill Meagher.  People from all faiths walked along Sydney Road, pausing to leave flowers at the Duchess Bridal Boutique, the Baptist church and Bar Etiquette, the last places Jill was seen alive.
