Russia denies any involvement in Alexei Navalny's poisoning

Russia said yesterday the West should not rush to judge it over the poisoning of Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny and that there were no grounds to accuse it of the crime, as talk in the West of punishing Moscow intensified. Britain and other countries expelled Russian diplomats after Russian double agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter were poisoned in the English city of Salisbury in 2018 with Novichok, the same nerve agent that was used against Navalny, according to toxicology tests conducted at the German military laboratory. Russia denied the accusation and responded with tit-for-tat expulsions.
